How much do the 15-minute things cost you?
Count the small tasks nobody logs and add your hourly rate. You'll see what they cost you each month.
Nobody opens a browser tab to log a fifteen-minute task.
It's just a quick call. It's just a two-line fix. So it never gets billed, and it doesn't make it into the next estimate either.
One task is nothing. Two a day, across a team, for a month, is a real number. It usually shows up at the end of a fixed-price project that cost more than it earned.
Our founder lost a couple of hundred euros a month this way as a freelancer. Tidpunkt is what they built to stop it.
How Tidpunkt gets those hours back on the books
Logging takes two clicks, so the small things get logged too.
Log from the menu bar, not a browser tab
Two clicks to save an entry, continue one, or start a new one. It works on macOS, Windows and Ubuntu.
Quote the next project from real numbers
See the actual hours per project and contract, broken down by task, so the next estimate includes the small work.
Bill hourly clients with proof
Export per-client reports as CSV or PDF.
No screenshots, ever
Tidpunkt is for finding lost time. It does not watch people.
How we calculate this
All numbers come from what you enter.
Tasks nobody logs: people × times per period × minutes ÷ 60 × rate.
Short entries: people × entries per period × (15 − minutes logged) ÷ 60 × rate.
Per day is multiplied by 21 working days. Per week is multiplied by 4.33 weeks.
The 15-minute minimum is our assumption, not a study. Reading the request, getting into the task and switching back afterwards all take time. If you think your short tasks really are shorter, leave the second step off.
Questions
Is 15 minutes a fair minimum?
It's our assumption. Before a five-minute fix you read the message, open the project and work out what's being asked. Leave the second step off if you disagree.
Should I use my billing rate or my cost rate?
Use your billing rate for hourly clients, since that's revenue you didn't invoice. For fixed-price or retainer work, use what an hour costs you, since that's margin you didn't plan for.
My team won't log time anyway.
That's usually because logging means opening a browser. With Tidpunkt it's two clicks in the menu bar or system tray, and that shorter route is what changes the habit.
Is this employee monitoring?
No. There are no screenshots, now or ever. Tidpunkt helps you find lost time. It doesn't watch people.
Where is our data?
It's hosted in the EU.
